Problem Adding File Based Database
« on: July 23, 2014, 12:35:40 PM »
I'm using 64bit Windows 7 and 64bit Office 2010.  I'm trying to add a File Based Database Profile and referencing an Access 2010 file with a *.accdb extension but I'm only presented with*.mdb files.  I cannot convert my 2010 access files to a 2007 *.mdb format.

Hello Patrik,

You need to download and install 32 bit Access ODBC driver on your PC in order to use *.accdb database with Cellica Database.

Please download 32 bit Access ODBC driver from following link,
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=13255

To install this ODBC driver without removing 64 bit version of ODBC driver which is already exist on your machine, you need to use /passive command.
To install the Microsoft ACE OLEDB Provider 32-bit on a machine running Office 2010 64-bit:
$> AccessDatabaseEngine.exe /passive

You can find more information on following link,
http://blog.codefluententities.com/2011/01/20/microsoft-access-database-engine-2010-redistributable/

After installation, you can create file base connection in profile manager or create DSN using "config' button in Cellica Database application and use this DSN to create profile.

For detailed information please go through following knowledgebase article,
