Can't edit table?

I added a field to an existing profile, but can't edit the table to check and add the new field. I removed all access to the form the table is present on and removed all users of the profile except my iPad. I tried all combinations of resetting the profile and synching, but still can not edit the profile. Why do I still get message the profile is in synching process when the only iPad connected to the profile has been synched several times?

Please export those Forms and then Remove Profiles & Form.

Recreate Profiles and import those Forms.

Understood for table changes, but still can't edit do to set table sort or filter. I get it if dropping/adding is the only way around it. Would be nice to have for those of us who don't remember to sort when profile is created ;)
